What is the SHAG RAG™?
The SHAG RAG® is a fun, colorful and unique beach towel that demonstrates “the basic” shag dance steps. SHAG RAG®is enjoyed pool side, beach side, shower side, on your boat or laid out on your deck, and is enjoyed by both adults and kids.
PRODUCT DESRIPTION
SHAG RAG® Beach towel dimensions are 30” x 60” and print area is 21.75” x 48”. Towel is white with 4 spot colors in RED, BLUE, GREEN and BLACK. Made of 86% cotton and 14% polyester gives the SHAG RAG™ a plush feeling for your feet and your body! Each SHAG RAG® is individually folded in a poly bag with printed directions.

Who thought up the SHAG RAG®?
The SHAG RAG® was first envisioned by North Carolina natives Gwen and Mike Bailey while boating in North Carolina waters. The Bailey’s are local business owners, entrepreneurs, and loving family.
“We were enjoying a beautiful day on the lake in the summer of 2005 and began chatting about how much fun it would be to create a unique beach towel with the shag dance steps on it. After weeks of repeating our conversations, the beginning stages of the SHAG RAG® began to emerge. We began our design and started researching designers, printers, suppliers and costs. In a years time, with family and friends support and encouragement, the SHAG RAG® became a reality with our first shipment after approval. It seems that we had created a specialty product that many love, bringing back and supporting the famous shag dance! Originally, we created this fun beach towel for shaggers only, and those who would like to learn, but soon found that after product launch that kids loved the design too. They enjoy placing their feet on the SHAG RAG® and learning the shag dance early!”
